Breakthrough to Nursing Director

My name is Mary Antoine and I am currently the Breakthrough to Nursing Director for NJNS.  I am a junior in the diploma nursing program at Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing in Old Bridge, New Jersey and also hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Movement Science with a focus in exercise physiology. I have experience working as a Patient Care Technician and currently hold a position as a Unit Clerk on the telemetry unit at Clara Maass Hospital in Belleville, New Jersey.

 My goal this year is to promote diversity and the image of nursing to non-traditional and high school students as well as putting programs together to get more males into the profession. I am honored to be a part of a great organization and be amongst a talented Board of Directors that brings forth great ideas.

 As Breakthrough to Nursing Director, I believe that I can make a difference in the organization by bringing different ideas and projects to the table and promote the nursing profession to minority and all those of different socioeconomic, religious, and sexual backgrounds. As changing faces of nursing take the time out to recruit and make a difference in the nursing profession.
