Lydia Albuquerque
Lydia Albuquerque MSN, RN, CCRN is a graduate prepared nurse who is currently working as acritical care RN at University of Medicine and Dentistry. She is also working as an adjunct faculty
at the Henry P Becton School of Nursing, and Allied Health, Fairleigh Dickenson University. Sheis the founding President of the American Association of Indian Nurses – New Jersey chapter and the Secretary to the National Association of Indian Nurses of America. She received the Nurse Excellence Award for her exemplary work as a nurse from the St. Barnabas Health Care System in 2007.
Deborah Walker-McCall
Deborah Walker-McCall is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the Academic Foundations Center (AFC) and the Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program at Rutgers University-Newark College of Arts and Sciences. A native of Newark, New Jersey,Dean Walker McCall graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers College of Nursing, where shewas the first African-American to receive the college’s Outstanding Senior Nursing Student Award. Dean Walker McCall has a background in critical care nursing, medical marketing research, hospital/nursing administration and education. She is the current President of the Northern NJ Black Nurses Association and she currently serves as a board member of NJWAN, the New Jersey Institute for Nursing and the Sylvia C. Edge Endowment committee.
Leo-Felix Jurado
Prof. Leo-Felix Jurado is a nurse educator, administrator, regulator, advanced practice nurse and a community leader. Currently, he is a Professor & Chairperson of the Department of Nursing at County College of Morris, Randolph, NJ. He also works part-time as an Administrative at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He is a veteran member of the NJ Board of Nursing of which he served as President and now as Secretary/Treasurer. Prof.Jurado is the current President of the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition of Ethnic Minorities Nursing Association. He is agreat role model to many, most especially minority students and nurses and an avid advocate of the nursing profession.
Ana Nogueira
Ana Nogueira graduated from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing in 1998 and then obtained her BSN from University of Phoenix in August of 2005. Presently she is a nursing supervisor of case management at Horizon Casualty Services Inc., in Newark, NJ. In addition, she is the President of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) – New Jersey chapter, whose mission is to promote Hispanic nurses to improve the health of the community. She is also a member of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) as well as member ofthe American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
