What is the difference between NJNS and NSNA?
New Jersey Nursing Students (NJNS) is the state student nurses association where as National Student Nurses Association is nationwide.
How do I get involved in NJNS and/or NSNA?
To become a member you just simply fill out an application. You can get an application from your student president and/or pit recruiter. Within the application is a list of the benefits available to you as a member. An application to join NSNA is available to you on the internet. Click on our links page above for the site address. You may also contact our Membership/Nominations director for more details. membership@njnsinc.org
How do I become a board member?
In order to become a board member you must be nominated at the annual state convention from the floor by a delegate. Once nominated, there is a form to fill out which needs to be signed by the chairperson of your program. If you think you want to run for office prior to the convention you can contact the membership and nominations director. You can also download an application to be a Board member.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
To apply for a scholarship fill out an application. In the beginning of August, you may apply by sending a self-addresses business size envelope with 55 cents postage to: The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc., 55 West 57th Street, Suite 1327, New York, NY 10019. You can also obtain an application from the NSNA website.
Don’t forget there may be scholarships available through your school, check with your student president and/or instructors!
What are the benefits of becoming an NJNS member?
When you become a member on NJNS you become a member of NSNA. As a member of NSNA you will receive Nursing Journal Subscription Discounts for journals such as AJN and RN.
NSNA members receive discounts on the registration fees for the NSNA NCLEX EXCEL.

A Pit Recruiter is a NJNS member who signs up new members. Pit Recruiters can win prizes for all new members they recruit. For more information contact the Memberships & Nominations director.
How do I become a Pit Recruiter?
You can become a Pit Recruiter by filling out a registration packet. To obtain a registration packet contact Membership & Nominations Chairperson.

A resolution is a written statement of importance expressed in formal wording. It serves to establish or make known the position an association takes on matter of national scope and significance effecting nursing students, nursing, and the health needs of the public. For more information on the resolution process, steps for writing resolution, or if you would like to submit a topic for a resolution please contact the Resolution Director at resolution@njnsinc.org
